LENTERA 2025 promises to captivate visitors with a variety of artistic and innovative elements, including Illuminated Garden Decorations, Luminous Sculpture Designs, Cultural Light Performances, and exciting interactive games. Each of these elements represents a fusion of light artistry and creative artistic expression. The entire showcase will illuminate and enliven the night atmosphere at Anjung Floria, offering visitors a mesmerizing and unforgettable experience.

Highlighted Event

Animal Kingdom is a themed park that features a variety of animals such as tigers, elephants, insects, and snails, set within a tropical rainforest environment. It offers a unique experience compared to other parks through its wooden log walkways, allowing visitors to enjoy the cool, mysterious atmosphere of a rainforest at night. The highlight of the park is its animal sculptures, crafted using lantern techniques and airbrushed coloring, making each piece appear lifelike when illuminated.
Animal Kingdom
The Borneo Garden, presented by the Labuan Corporation, highlights the theme of Heritage and the Future by blending the identities of Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. Its design features symbolic Borneo elements such as a Rafflesia-inspired gazebo, ethnic bamboo gateways, tropical rainforest flora and fauna structures, and a mist-covered Mount Kinabalu replica, creating a rich and immersive visual experience.
Borneo Garden
Traditional Garden is a illuminated garden inspired by Perbadanan Pembangunan Kampung Bharu, designed around the traditional Malay village lifestyle beside paddy fields. It features classic wooden stilt houses, wooden walkways, small bridges, and lush green rice fields, creating a peaceful rural setting. This combination of nature and village elements offers visitors a nostalgic experience that reflects Malay cultural heritage, harmonious living, and the calm beauty of a traditional countryside environment.
Tradition Garden
The Tree of Life features a glowing tree form created through colorful LED light strips along its trunk and branches, illuminating the surrounding space. These lights symbolize the neural network within living beings, the vital system that drives movement and sustains life. It represents a deeper meaning of life functioning in a holistic and continuous way, where unseen systems work endlessly like a body’s engine, generating life energy and maintaining balance and survival.
Trees of Life
Little Indian Garden showcases the beauty and richness of India’s cultural heritage through vibrant patterns and colorful motifs closely associated with Indian culture. Its main feature is a large illuminated peacock-shaped lantern, symbolizing elegance, beauty, and artistic expression. The plaza floor is decorated with Kolam (Rangoli) patterns, reflecting creativity, aesthetic beauty, and spiritual values, while the surrounding space is adorned with garlands of Malai flowers, commonly used in religious rituals, festivals, and welcoming ceremonies.

Malay Garden showcases the grandeur of Malay sultanate heritage through designs inspired by traditional royal palace architecture. Elements such as intricate carvings, pillared structures, and soft lighting highlight the elegance and authority of historic palaces, creating an immersive visual experience that brings visitors back to the golden age of Malay royalty while appreciating the refined artistry and cultural values embedded in every design element.

The Orang Asli area showcases the uniqueness of indigenous cultural heritage and lifestyle through traditional design combined with artistic lighting. Using natural materials such as wood and bamboo, the layout reflects traditional dwellings and daily activities, offering visitors an authentic cultural experience while fostering appreciation for ethnic diversity and local heritage.

Galaxy Square invites visitors into a captivating space-themed experience, where every corner is filled with unique galactic elements such as stars, colorful planets, and glowing bridges. This immersive futuristic atmosphere highlights the beauty and mystery of the universe while creating a strong sense of excitement and wonder, making it a visually stunning experience.
Garden of Galaxy
Dinosaur Park is one of the main attractions at the LANTERA Festival, offering a unique light display inspired by ancient wildlife heritage. The park features five giant Brachiosaurus sculptures over six metres tall, decorated with colourful patterns that blend Malay, Chinese, Indian, Borneo, and contemporary abstract elements, creating an iconic and joyful experience that especially excites children and captures visitors’ attention throughout the festival.

Designed under the “Lumina Nexus” concept by the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM). The 3-metre-tall sculpture combines two geometric forms to symbolize the meeting point of different cultures, enhanced by lighting elements that represent knowledge, unity, and hope. Materials such as steel, Chengal or Balau wood, and a glowing acrylic core reflect a balance between structural strength, traditional craftsmanship, and future aspirations, creating a visually artistic experience that leaves a lasting impression of creativity, innovation, and local cultural beauty.
Garden of Arts
Leisure Park is located along Pantai Floria and is designed as a healing, picnic-friendly space for families to relax and unwind. Visitors can enjoy live performances by local buskers, warm coffee, and light refreshments while taking in the beautiful lantern displays against the night view of Putrajaya Lake, creating a calm and soothing atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for quality time with loved ones.
Leisure Park
Garden of Stellar features lighting inspired by the scattered stars in the night sky, creating a magical and visually captivating atmosphere. Colorful lighting effects reminiscent of an aurora give visitors the feeling of standing beneath a stunning celestial panorama, while the simple pathway design still offers unique and creative photo opportunities at every corner, making it a popular spot for memorable photos.

Neon Tropical presents the theme Preserving Nature’s Light for the Future, showcasing Malaysia’s tropical heritage through a futuristic blend of AI, light, and innovation. Techno Tropics transforms the rainforest into a neon dreamscape where AI simulates flora, fauna, and monsoon rain for an immersive experience, imagining a future where tropical forests are preserved as digital memories and projected into space—reminding us that as we explore new worlds, we must protect the natural world that sustains our lives.

Panda Park is a new highlight outside the China–Malaysia Friendship Garden, where the LANTERN Festival features the panda as an important cultural symbol of Chinese civilization. Its main attraction is a six-metre-tall giant panda sculpture enhanced with artistic lighting, creating a cheerful and harmonious atmosphere that is expected to attract visitors, especially children, and make Panda Park a key attraction of the festival.

Singgah Lentera is the festival’s 100-metre main entrance walkway that guides visitors through an immersive, enchanting underwater-themed experience before reaching the main stage. The path is illuminated with glowing decorations, fish sculptures, and bubble elements that create stunning aquatic lighting effects, setting a sense of excitement, wonder, and anticipation as visitors begin their journey into LENTERA.
Singgah Lentera
Inspired by cinematic fantasy, the Mushroom Path features colorful, glowing mega mushroom sculptures in various sizes, artistically arranged along the visitor walkway at LENTERA. The vibrant lighting effects and unique designs create a mesmerizing fantasy atmosphere that evokes excitement, beauty, and wonder, making visitors feel as if they are walking through a magical imaginary world and leaving them with a visually striking, unforgettable experience.
Mushroom Passage
The Flora and Fauna Garden features a glowing giant replica of a pair of white swans, symbolising the beauty and balance of the Putrajaya Lake ecosystem. The installation represents harmony between flora and fauna found in the natural wetland environment. The garden is enhanced with aquatic plants such as lotus flowers and algae, symbolising the foundation of life and ecological balance, while fauna elements like herons, dragonflies, and water birds complete the setting, creating a calm, natural, and visually captivating lakeside atmosphere for visitors.

Nurani Garden presents a spiritual and reflective experience through a collection of illuminated sculptures inspired by Islamic art and philosophy, featuring elements such as mosque forms, mihrabs, crescents, geometric patterns, and Islamic calligraphy like Nun, Wau, and Nuqtah. Each sculpture represents light as a symbol of faith, knowledge, and inner peace, inviting visitors to reflect, contemplate, and reconnect with spiritual values within a calm, harmonious, and softly lit environment that creates a meaningful and immersive journey.
NURANI GARDEN
The English Garden features a Snowlight Garden concept to celebrate Christmas each December. The area is decorated with festive elements, including a flying Santa sleigh replica delivering gifts, making it stand out from other zones at the Lantern Festival. The Snowlight theme is enhanced with white and golden lighting combined with artificial snow, creating a magical, cool, and serene atmosphere that offers visitors a unique and captivating experience throughout their visit.
English Garden
Candy World is a placemaking initiative under Local Agenda 21 Putrajaya that aims to transform an existing area into a more cheerful, inclusive, and distinctive space through creative design inspired by colorful candy elements. Located at Anjung Floria, Candy World will remain as a permanent site after the LENTERA event, serving as a new tourist attraction in Putrajaya as well as a fun, family-friendly community space, especially for children.

Kids Zone
Visitors can enjoy a special illuminated showcase on Putrajaya Lake, one of the festival’s main attractions. A highlight of the program is a decorative boat parade featuring beautifully lit boats that showcase creativity and vibrant lighting on the lake’s surface. A total of four boats will sail with different decorative themes, specially designed by Perbadanan Putrajaya and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), creating a lively and enchanting nighttime atmosphere around the lake.

Perbadanan Putrajaya is organizing the 3R Creativity Competition: Shadow Art. The competition highlights creativity and innovation through shadow art based on the 3R concept – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, aiming to raise awareness of environmental sustainability among participants and festival visitors. During the festival, visitors can view the shadow art created from recycled materials and cast their votes for the displayed artworks.

The expo connects culture, creativity, and emerging technologies such as AI, immersive media, XR, and the metaverse through design competitions, cultural exhibitions, and the “AI x Synergy Talk” series.
